1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms form a legal agreement between you and the operator of Nexus (referred to as "Nexus", "we", "us"). Nexus is currently operated as an independent developer platform at buildwithnexus.xyz. Where this document refers to Nexus without a formal company name, it refers to the operator of the site. We use legally neutral wording until a formal entity is incorporated and will update these Terms when that changes. No company number or registered office is asserted here.

2. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to create a Nexus account. Provide accurate username, display name and email. One person may operate one primary account unless we approve otherwise. We may require email verification. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

3. Account Security

Keep your password and session token confidential. Nexus sessions are Bearer tokens stored via localStorage (`nexus_web_session`) as described in our Privacy/Cookie Policy. Notify us promptly of compromise. We may invalidate sessions, require password reset, or suspend accounts for security reasons. We log IP and security events for abuse prevention where implemented.

4. Platform Use

Nexus provides a store for digital products, licensing, downloads and account management. Use the platform respectfully. We may rate-limit, throttle, or queue actions to protect the service.

5. User Content & License

What you provide

User content includes account information, product reviews and support communications. You retain ownership of your content.

License to Nexus

By submitting content, you grant Nexus a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute and make your content available on the platform for the purpose of operating and promoting Nexus. We do not claim ownership.

Responsibility

You represent you have rights to the content you submit and it does not infringe third-party rights.

6. Prohibited Content & Acceptable Use

You must not post or engage in:

• Illegal content or instructions facilitating illegality
• Abuse, spam, mass unsolicited promotion, scraping beyond reasonable personal use
• Impersonation of another person or entity, or misrepresenting affiliation
• Harassment, hate, threats, or non-consensual intimate imagery
• Malicious code, malware, phishing, or attempts to compromise accounts/infrastructure
• Sexual content involving minors (zero tolerance), or explicit pornographic spam
• Copyrighted material you lack rights to share

We apply a reasonable person standard and may update examples via policy.

7. Platform Moderation

We may review, limit visibility, remove content, or suspend/terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Removed private infrastructure content is still subject to our retention for legal or safety reasons where required. You may report users/content via the available reporting channels or by contacting us. Appeals may be offered where feasible. Repeated or severe violations may lead to permanent termination.

8. Products & Third-Party Services

Plugins, kits, software and future products may include beta features and are supplied subject to the licence shown at purchase. Payment processing and other third-party services are also governed by their providers' terms.

9. Intellectual Property

Nexus branding, logo, site design and original code are our intellectual property. Do not copy, scrape at scale, or misrepresent affiliation with Nexus. User trademarks remain theirs. We respect DMCA-style requests where applicable under local law; contact us with details of alleged infringement.

10. Pro, Donations & Payments

Nexus may offer Pro/premium services, future paid tools, donations, or advertising. Where payments occur, pricing, renewal, refunds and taxes will be described at purchase.

Donations: Donations are currently handled externally via Ko-fi at ko-fi.com/sandro6560. Nexus does not directly collect or process card/bank/payment details — the external provider does. The pink heart Donator badge is a Nexus entitlement granted manually by authorized admins after donation verification; it is not automatic when you click Donate or visit Ko-fi. Donations do not purchase ownership/equity and are separate from Nexus Pro unless explicitly stated. We do not fake payment status. If advertising is introduced, it will be disclosed.

11. Service Availability & Beta

Nexus is provided on an as-available basis. Some features are beta and may change, be limited, or be discontinued. We may modify, suspend or discontinue the service with reasonable notice where practicable. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

12. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nexus is provided without warranties. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits or goodwill, except where liability cannot be excluded by law. Nothing limits liability for death/personal injury caused by negligence or fraud.

13. Termination & Changes to Terms

You may delete your account via Settings (subject to verification). We may suspend or terminate accounts for violation, legal requirement, or prolonged inactivity with notice where appropriate. We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified via the site or email, and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
